Generate a work plan with AI

The generator reads what the project already knows, the SPA and deal documents, Strategic Direction, and the workstream's charter, and produces a hierarchical task list with sections, owners where it can infer them, and dates that fit your phases.

How to run it

1. Open the workstream's work plan and choose Generate Work Plan.
2. Give it the context it asks for. The rationale field is worth filling in properly; a specific one produces a noticeably better draft than a blank one.
3. Wait for it to finish. Generation takes a little time because it is composing a whole plan rather than a paragraph.
4. Read the draft as a draft. Fix the dates, reassign the owners, delete what does not apply to your deal.

What it is good and bad at

It is good at completeness: the tasks a functional lead would forget, in a sensible order, at a sensible grain. It is weaker on anything specific to your deal that you have not told it, which is why the quality of the charter and Strategic Direction underneath it matters more than the prompt.

What it will not do

It will not score your deal or tell you whether to proceed. The platform presents data and drafts work; the judgment stays yours. It also never writes into the plan without you: a generated plan is yours to edit before anyone else sees it.

Generating over an existing plan

Generating again does NOT replace what is there. It adds a second set of tasks alongside the first, so a workstream you generate twice ends up holding two plans. If you have already edited a plan, add to it by hand or import into it. If you want a fresh draft to compare, generate it on a workstream that does not yet have one.
